The Three Men

Lately, I've come to see that there are three kinds of people in the world. They are differentiated by their life’s desire. These things are simple ways of satisfying one self.

These three people are

• The Man Of Power
• The Man Of Love
• The Man Of Purpose

THE MAN OF POWER

He has worked day and night, exhausted himself. He wants to be the best there is. Everything in his life is sort of a power play. Everyone must know how happy he is. He’s happy and satisfied. Proving himself to the world is crucial.

This path is quite risky, as with power come delusions. One might delude himself into thinking that he’s happy. We may forget that there is always someone better. The chase to the top never really ends.

THE MAN OF LOVE

             He discovered this little fact about himself. That nothing would matter, no kind of success, until he doesn't have the right person to share it with. He wants those few special people around him he can call family. The friends, the parents and of course the right girl. Others may think that it’s a sad way to live and some may even say its end of his story. But settling down, having kids, kid’s getting married and grand kids  that’s their adventure. They would never regret not taking that awesome job because they wanted to be close to the loved ones.

THE MAN OF PURPOSE

          This one may seem tricky. He just wants to know the meaning of it all. Why he even exists? What is his place in this world? No relationship or power can ever really satisfy. These are just temporary distractions. ‘Was something wrong with him?’ Probably all those close to him are going to ask that. But he was asking them the same question. 

THE MEN OF DILEMMA

          Now you must understand that one can’t simply decide what man he wants to be. It’s not even easy to tell which one you are. We all love power play, we all have made some kind of sacrifice for someone we care about at some time of our life and we all, obviously, have stared into the blank wondering about life’s meaning. But it’s important to know which one those personality is the most dominant.

          Are you the kind of person who makes sacrifice for a girl but he won’t do it until the whole world can know about it? Are you the one who has worked day and night so he can achieve something for the one he cares about? Are you someone who lives in a mansion with his beautiful wife and children but stays up late night staring at the ceiling, wondering what the hell is he doing?

          We cannot be foolish enough to lie to ourselves. The later the truth will strike, the harder it does. A familiar term: mid-life crises. These are the people who once lied to themselves. Deluded them self into believing that they are someone else. Being fake is the biggest mistake and the problem is that we may not even know that we’re. It’s like being the comedian in a horror flick.

It’s not that anyone is lesser than the other, they are just different. It’s just the way things are. Accepting it is however a different choice.
