RAJ COMICS CHAMPIONS

Raj Comics is an Indian based superhero comic book company. They introduced the idea of superhero to me, and to that I'll always be grateful. Here's a redesign for those characters. Hope I did justice.

Characters: (Clockwise from top left) Shakti (powered by rage of God), Parmanu (The man with nuclear power), Super Commando Dhruv (Human with skills), Nagraj (King of snakes)

Saamri Ki Jwala Fan Art

Before getting into DC Comics and Marvel Comics, I was really into an Indian Comic company called Raj Comics. To be honest Raj Comics more or less introduced me to superhero comics.
There was one comic in particular starring a young superhero called Super Commando Dhruv simply titled "Samri Ki Jwala".  It was a pretty good story, and I think it still holds up pretty well. I was also quite fascinated by its cover done by a very talented artist, Pratap Mullick. Showing are 'just a human' superhero caught between a fire God, a 'mind that can create anything' super mutant and a 'literally a ghost' mad scientist. (Oh, and the actual story there were even monsters and threats).

So, I decided to do a version of that cover to show my respect to the wonderful comic that it was.

Dreams and Prophecy

RELATED CONCEPTS

I kept going back and forth with how everything will look. At first I wanted to crazy with the design and characters, but then I figured it shouldn't be that way. Both the dream and story needed to something more grounded. I guess the characters are a bit stereotype, but the dream needed to be that.
The final designs were referenced from the sketches my ex drew after having it. Well the best she could translate it to paper.

Too super hero-ish?
